So the good filter's system is necessary. It is better to use an effective filter system in the aquarium or filter tank, such as high performance filter. It allows you to easily culture your fish. Besides, fish in this family prefer water with high hardness level. These kinds of fish like high pH water. Thus you can use Coral Sand to decorate. You can use coral. (But in some country, If you own coral, it is illegal.). However it is hard to find plant that can survive in high pH water because most of aquatic plant can't survive in high pH water. There a little kinds of plant such as Arnubias or Krib. You should set your aquarium like this. The pH is 7.5-9.0.The dH is estimate 10-20 degree. The temperature is 23-28 Celsius degree. You can set temperature by heater in winter and chiller in summer.
